Strawberry fields forever

Strawberry house by LHN
The colors in this piece are really pretty.
I changed the bird to blue.
I outlined the house in white.
This reminds of the Beatles song.
Also reminds me of Tom in heaven,
my step dad, who was a huge Beatles
fan.  We grew  up listening to this music.
We also share the same birthday.   Hello
dad in heaven.

A month in chalk.
I changed the colors a bit.
I liked adding the blue for the water.

I took  a 3 day vacation to Gaitlinburg, TN
Buckhorn inn
Such a beautiful place.  I started strawberry
house there.  I did hiking and stitching.  The 2
most relaxing things for me.  If you are
ever in the area, I highly recommend it.

 Smokey mountains
A view from the bedroom balcony.
The cottage also has a screened in porch.

The Inn has a nature trail on the property
with different gardens.  It went so quick,
but doesn't it always.

I saw the title of your post and thought you had stitched Strawberry Fields Forever by Blackbird Designs, which I stitched a few months ago.

Gorgeous finishes Cindy. I stitched Strawberry House last year but haven't finished it yet. I'm saving your post for inspiration!

Sweet work Cindy. You know what I like? That the new pieces you are creating and the ones you received from friends are displayed right there in your sister's home. I am glad you are doing better.

Lovely finishes, Cindy! You always do such a great job with the finishing details. Gatlinburg looks like a beautiful place to visit - glad you could get away for a few days. And yes, vacations do always seem to pass much too quickly. : )

Your finish is just beautiful, Cindy--that strawberry fabric accents the stitching perfectly! Love the little changes in your chalkboard piece, too!

I've always wanted to visit the Smokey Mountains and spend some time stitching as I relaxed on a porch with a wonderful mountain view. So glad you were able to get away for a few days--you deserve it :)

Enjoy your weekend (snow is forecast for here :(
