Its Giveaway time

My 3rd Year of blogging on the internet.
It all started on June 14th, 2008.
For all the joy I get from blogging and
all the great people I have met, this
giveaway is for you. My faithful bloggers.
We all enjoy reading comments on
something we posted, it is what keeps
us going. I get many great ideas from
the people I have met. I hope I give
a little inspiration from my work to
others, and hopefully make someone
smile. There are so many blogs I
enjoy. I feel so blessed to share my
hobby with others who enjoy doing
what I do, Stitch. The winner
will be picked on June 14. This will
be a great giveaway and will not disappoint.
The only thing you have to do is leave a
comment on this post on why you follow
my blog and what you enjoy the most.

Hedgehog finish

Pattern by Margaret Sherry
How adorable are the Hedgehogs.
When I saw the design I just knew I wanted to
do this piece. I am not sure how I will finish
it. I was looking for a puzzle fabric not easy
to find. I even checked Ebay usually I can
find anything there. I will hold until I
find the perfect fabric. Happy Mother's Day.
I know many of my bloggers are moms.

How cute are these?

These are patterns I have done before. Friendship
grows is a FREEBIE pattern from Lizzie Kate.
I always finish them a little different. The second
I had to do again. Bloom has really nice colors
and reminds me of the season we are in, Spring.
Both of these pieces are gifts. They are wrapped
with love in the rainbow ribbon.

My trip to NYC yesterday

yesterday I went to NYC for one of my great stash
trips. I always go to the city quilter and get some
new fabric for do my finishing touches on my
cross stitch pieces. Then I headed down to the
garment distric where I get my cordings. This
whole batch of cording was only 13.00. You can't
beat this deal. There is nothing like NYC. I met up
with my oldest daughter who goes to school at the
Fashion Institute of Technology. We ate at
Max Brenner's
Chocolate restaurant.
What great chocolate desserts we
had. If you ever have a chance to eat at one of
their locations it is a must for any chocolate lover.
It was a perfect day for the city, 80 degrees to
walk the street of NYC.

Lizzie Kate Easter Sampler completed

Pattern by Lizzie Kate
Sampling Easter Q-005
I cannot believe it has almost been a month
from my last post. I have been stitching but
haven't had time to finish and post. I have
been working the same schedule in work for
over 7 years. My supervisor left to go to another
department and they split our group up. Rather
then be thrown to the wolves I chose a supervisor
i have known for years. The hours are the same
but my days off are different. I used to be off
thursday, friday and sunday. Now my days off
are Sunday, tuesday, and wednesday. Don't
get excited, I work 10 1/2 hour shifts 4 days
a week. It has only been a couple of weeks and
I am still adjusting. I don't even know what day of
the week it is sometimes. On top of that I have been
working a ton of over time, sometimes working two
weeks straight with no day off. When the nice
weather is here - NO MORE OVERTIME- life is to
short. This piece was fun to work on. I adore the
spring colors. The fabric is so cute. Bunnies that
sparkle. The buttons make the piece. I have been
working a bigger piece and hope to be done next week.
I have been visiting blogs but do not have the time
right now to leave comments on all of them. When
i am back in the groove I will feel much better.
On a bright note, My oldest baby will be 21 on March
23. It is hard to believe she will be 21. I am taking
her and my other kids to one of the best restaurants
in NYC. I will post pictures and details. I will be
buying her the very first drink because she asked
me to. I guess it is an honor, but I am a person who may
have maybe one glass of dessert wine a year. I am not
a drinker. I am excited and I worked hard all year.
I want to give her something she will remember the
rest of her life and this dinner will do the trick. I
appreciate all of your comments and truly
enjoy all of my bloggers.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day
I came home from work and found a dozen
roses in my room. My favorite colors yellow and
pink. My kids bought the flowers. I cried. I
have never received flowers from them before.
I was shocked and never in a million years expected
anything. What a sweet surprise. I made goodies
bags for each kids. I like leaving a little treat.
Surprises are good.

Ride A Bike

The is such a cute pattern. By Lizzie Kate
Both my daughter and I love bike Riding.
When I saw this pattern I knew I was going
to do it. My daughters birthday is in March.
On the pattern the bike rider had brown hair.
I changed it to a Blondish type color. The
back of the fabric is so great, bicycles.
I went to the City Quilter in NYC today. My
daughter had an exhibition at her school.
It was brutal cold out today. The quilt store
is only two blocks from the school. I had
to make a stop there. I picked up the fabrics
you see and a cute pair of scissors. I did
not go to all of my favorite ribbon places
because it was just to cold to walk the city.
I have a bunch of pieces I have to finish.
My kids took my see through rulers, both of
them, so I had to make a trip to Joann's
to get a new one. I haven't been able to
finish my projects without it. I had
a 20% off coupon, so that helped. Is it spring
Yet?
