I took a vacation day today and went intoNew York City - I love my city.
My daughter Amanda and I took the train
into together because she goes to FIT in NYC.
MY first stop was to Bar America - Bobby Flays
restaurant on W 52nd street. I had a seafood
sampler trio. Lobster and Avocado salad, Shrimp
Cocktail with a delicious sauce not your typical
cocktail sauce, and Crab and mango salad. The
portion was big and I was stuffed. Next I headed
down to the City Quilter and pick up some beautiful
fabrics(pictured above) and then went to 39th street
for some trimmings. The satin ribbon is so pretty.
After my daughter got out of school went headed down
to chelsea market and had some dinner. It was a
perfect day in the Big apple the weather was fantastic.

Oh, I am so jealous! I just love NYC. It sounds like you had a wonderful time with your daughter and what great stash!
