Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to everyone. I remember a poem I had to memorize when I was in grammer school.

Black and Gold, Black and Gold, Black and Gold tonight,
Yellow pumkin, yellow moon, yellow candlelight,
Jet black cat with eyes of Gold, shadow black as ink,
when the world turns black and gold, then it's Halloween.

I finished the santa from the 2009 JCS magazine. I added
musical notes instead. This will be for my nephew who loves
music. This is a darling design and I recommend it for everyone.
It is hard to pick up the beads and glitter in this piece.

Shepherd's Bush Cross stitch ornaments completed

I took a photo of all of the shephard's Bush ornaments I
did so far.

This was a Halloween Exchange I did. I had so
much fun putting together the package. The recipient
really liked everything. It was my first exchange I
ever participated in and a lot of fun. The site if
you don't know about it is called Hooked on Exchanging
also know as HOE

This pattern was in JCS 2009 ornaments. I changed some of the
colors
and left out the wording. I change patterns a lot to fit my
style. I
try to make them my own. This is for a super friend I work with.
Her kitty passed away this year. Who doesnt love there pet
like a family member. I also added Mill Hill beads
on the tree, it is a nice
extra touch.

Yes - another Shephard's Bush ornament. This one is very
different because it has a blue background. The crystals
really stand out on the blue.

Another Shepard's Bush Ornament finished. I really like
this design. The cording really makes this ornament stand out.
When finishing an ornament, (which is my least favorite step) I do
have fun choosing from my vast collection of cordings, ribbons, etc.
You never really know what will match until you play around with it.
I am always surprised what really goes. It is usually something you
would have never thought of. A couple of people have asked where I got
the cording, it was purchased in NYC in the garment district. If
you go down a little further in the blog you will see a picture of the
cordings I purchased there. Thank you everyone for the kind comments.
They are always appreciated and love reading them. Only other
stitchers understand the love of stitching.

This is Shephard's Bush Pattern in JCS 2009 magazine.
I didn't care for the santa sleigh, so I didn't include it.
It didn't seem to fit the theme. Each year the pattern follows
the jerusalem theme, santa didn't seem to fit. I will be posting others soon :)

It's Halloween month. I am a huge peanuts fan and just put up
my peanuts display today.
