I can understand why. It's been mid nineties here for days!!

Sounds like my cat. She did the same thing !! On some mornings as early at 4am ;P
My Mom's cat wakes my Dad up multiple times a night fo rnow reason what-so-ever. Then sits in front of my Dad and sleeps all day. My Dad in turn torments the cat with a water spray bottle, lol!
Sounds cruel but it really isn't.
