7 completed Blackbird Cross stitch ornaments

This is by far the most excited I am about finishing
some christmas ornaments for friends and family. I did 7 pieces
in all. All have the same backing fabric. Each piece has a little
variation. On two pieces I added Ice mill hill beads and on the
others I used white. I change some of the weeks dye works
colors on some of them. Three have white cording, three
have off white cording and one has the silver cording. This
pattern is from the Just Cross Stitch 2009 Ornament issue,
page 15 Blackbird Designs. I change a couple of things(which
I do a lot on patterns). Instead of stitching the snowflakes
I added the Mill Hill beads, it makes a great addition. I
did not add the 2009 because I didn't like it. The numbers

were different sizes and didn't seem to fit my taste. I
decided to do these after seeing some blogs where you take
one pattern and do a bunch of the same ornament. I will
be wrapping them up in clear cello wrap with ribbon.
I hope this gives people some inspiration, I enjoy sharing
with other stitchers. Cin-cerely - Cindy

I love this idea Cindy! They all look wonderful. When i first saw that they were all the same pattern I thought that it would be a bit repetative stitching it over but with the changes you have made and it being a smallish design I think I would be abloe to do it.
Congratulations!

Those are really cute. I stitched that design also with some of my own changes and used it to make a card. But I don't know how you could stand to stitch the same design over and over. I really dislike stitching anything more than once!

They are lovely Cindy. That design hadn't caught my eye when I looked through the mag, but I'm going to have to go back and reconsider it now

Cindy, these are wonderful. I've never stitched the same pattern twice but I'm thinking next year, I'm going to stitch an ornament for each g'mom.
