A is for Aran - 4th finish

A is for Aran. This is the first letter in a
alphabet series by Brookes Books. As
one of my stitching projects I picked
out for this year - I will complete each
letter. This was a challenge - lots of
beads with a lot of off white colors
along with white. Really like her designs.
Now, what is Aran - Of course it looked like
a sweater so I did a search and this is
a breif description - Aran Islands is a
place where they make hand knit sweaters-

I did learn something making this first letter.

Winter Wonderland By Little House Needleworks
28 ct Opalescent white cashel linen
Mill Hill Beads added on the eyes and buttons - charcoal Brown.
Red mill hill beads for the holly.
This is the third project finished for the year. I will be taking it to
the framer on thursday. I just the adore this linen - so sparkly.
The camera doesn't do it justice.

2010 - Project #2 completed

This is the second stocking I have finished
from the blackbird designs -January. This
was finished for Carol I. for her birthday.
Her birthday is today 1-16 - this is a great
stocking for you to stitch for anyone. It is
personalized with the month and day she
was born along with her initials. the year
is on the bottom 2010. She received the
gift today in the mail, perfect timing.
She loved the gift. The stocking was hand
stitched into the form and stuffed. I really
like the stocking stuffed. Stop by Carols

Project #1 completed

First project of the year completed. The
pattern is by Brookes Books.
This was completed on 28 ct Opalescent
White Cashel linen. All DMC -I changed
some of the colors. This pattern was a
freebie. This year I will try to give more
details on the items I am using. I picked
out many projects I will be working on this
year. I went to my LNS yesterday to get
supplies. I will be doing the monthly series
from LHN also an alphabet series from
Brookes Books. Love this ornament.
