Latern Santa

Lantern Santa. This pattern is in the 2011 JCS Ornament issue.
Page 52. Pattern by Sue Hillis. I did tweak the pattern a bit.
I did not outline the piece, I liked the simplicity of this look.
This was done for a santa exchange. I added mill hill beads
to the lantern and it really stands out and looks like a real
lantern. The fabric on the back is the fabric you see. The
stars add a nice touch.

Sunflower Santa

The pattern is by "The Sunflower Seed"
There are only certain santa's I like in
cross stitch, This one is just adorable.
Combining Christmas my favorite holiday,
and Sunflowers, one of my favorite flowers.
Done on linen. The ornaments in the photo
are from my daughter who bought them back
from overseas for me. In the upper left, the cross
is from Spain, In the upper right the shoes are
from amsterdam, the lower left is from Germany,
and the lower right is from Switzerland. The were
a couple of more she bought me also. She also
bought back a ton of swiss chocolate, yes, I ate it
all. The best chocolate I have ever eaten.
I want SPRING AND SUMMER. Does anyone
else feel this way?

Dont forget the giveaway

My first two pieces of the new year are done.
Yes, I did this piece in doubles. The pattern is
from the 2007 JCS ornament issue. Fill with
love. I tweeked the pattern. I added the
swarovski crystals and a jingle bell. The bell
really makes noise like a bigger jingle bell. The
back fabric is a check pattern and fits these
pieces beautifully. Waiting for me on New
Year's Eve was a package from my sweet
stitching friend Carol from Stitching Dreams.
The linens are sparkly and the pattern was
on my wish list. Thank you from the bottom
of my heart Carol. It was the only stitching
give I received for my birthday. Do not forget
to join the giveaway below. I will post the winner
on January 7th. Good luck.
